 'TAL Project' is Korean Men's Fashion Blog, powered by TISTORY, South Korean blog service. I've run my Tistory blog for about 1 and half year since january, 2015. To make my blog grow as fast as it can, (because I thought that i was quite late to start a blog back then) I've written a blog post everyday and for about a year, whenever it's possible, I've written two or more blog posts per day. So Here i am with total 868 blog posts in less than 2 years.

 But like i told you in previous post, just two days ago I decided to start writing a blog post in English so that i can overcome its general limits. Since 'TAL Project' is a blog written in Korean, most of its visitors are people living in Korea or abroad, which made me realize that I should write a blog post in English to attract more visitors to my blog from all over the world.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 예전부터 많은 블로거들이 '영어 블로그 an English Blog'를 만들기 위해 애써온 모습으로 빠른 이들은 거의 10년 전(?)부터 이미 시작하였고 그 중 성공한 이들은 관련된 '책'도 내며 다른 블로거들의 관심을 받는 반면 대개의 경우 '언어'의 장벽에 부딪혀 얼마 못가 그들이 운영했던 '영어 블로그'를 포기한 모습이겠다. 

 나 또한 최근 (이틀 전) 현재 운영 중인 티스토리(TISTORY) 블로그 '탈프로젝트 TAL Project'를 활용하여 스스로 '영어 블로그'를 만들어 보고자 오늘까지 3일 연속으로 '영어 블로그 포스팅'을 게재하게 되었는데 이번 시간에는 많은 이들이 시도하였고 또 실패하였던 한국 기반 '티스토리' 블로그로 '영어 블로그' 만들기에 관하여 이야기해볼까 한다.

 Some Korean bloggers tried to make an English blog which is not a blog for English Learning but a blog written in English. As most of Korean blogs are written in Korean, It's a challenge for korean people just to write a blog post in English. I think that's why many korean bloggers who had tried to make an English blog failed after all.

 Even though I studied English for almost 10 years by now, still to write a blog in English takes me at least two times longer than to do in Korean. Pretty sure it's time consuming and difficult for people whose mother tongue is not English.  

 And there was a rumor saying that since Tistory is South Korean blog service, It's not competitive with Google Blogger or Wordpress, which are based on the worldwide service. I wanted to challenge that idea too, by making an English Blog with Tistory in Korea.

 

 

 

 

 

 (근거 없는) 소문에 따르면 '티스토리 TISTORY' 블로그 자체가 한국 기반 블로그 서비스를 운영하기에 티스토리 블로그를 가지고선 전세계를 대상으로 하는 '구글 블로거 Google Blogger' 또는 '워드프레스 Wordpress'와 비교했을 때, 경쟁이 되지 않을 거란 얘기가 많지만 개인적으론 이에 동감하지 않는다.

 물론, 지난 첫 '영어 포스팅 : Korean Men's Fashion Blog' 관련 글은 '구글' 검색에 누락된 모습이지만 (현재 다시금 구글 웹마스터도구 '색인'에 제출한 상태겠다.) 두 번째 '영어 포스팅 : The reason why we should write a blog post in English' 글의 경우, '구글' 검색 상위 페이지(1 ~ 2페이지)에 등장하는 모습으로 '영어 + 한글' 합작 '블로그 포스팅'으로써 성공한 사례가 되겠다.

 이를 보면, 한국에 거주하면서도 '티스토리 블로그'를 활용해 '영어 블로그'를 만들 수 있는 충분한 가능성은 확인할 수 있겠는데 총 868개의 글 중에서 고작 2개의 블로그 포스팅만이 '영어 (+한글)'로 작성된 점을 감안하면 계속해서 도전했을 때의 그 결과가 기대되겠다.

 Right now, 2 out of 868 blog posts seem very little to me but one by one blog contents written in English will pile up on Tistory blog 'TAL Project'. And that's when I can actually see whether Tistory blog is competitive with other worldwide blogs or not.

 I know it's going to be tough challenge but I really hope that it would work for me and Tistory. So that i can prove that the reason other people failed making an English blog with Tistory is not the blog tool(service) but their lake of passions (or something else, etc).

 

 

 

 

 

 이처럼 내가 작성한 '영어 + 한글' 합작 블로그 포스팅이 '구글' 한국에서 검색한 것과 같이 전세계에서 똑같은 '검색 결과'를 보인다면 앞서 언급했듯 '티스토리' 블로그로써 '영어 블로그 포스팅'의 성공적 사례라 말할 수 있겠지만 아직까지는 한국이 아닌 다른 나라의 '구글' 영어(English)를 통한 검색 결과에서는 조금은 더 정확하게 'write a blog post in English'라 검색해야 3페이지에 등장하는 모습이어 그 차이가 보였다.

 '구글 웹마스터도구'에 등록된 티스토리 블로그 '탈프로젝트 TAL Project'는 한국 기반의 블로그 서비스를 제공받는 동시에 대부분의 글이 한글로 포스팅된 점을 참고하자면 앞으로 '영어 블로그'로써의 길을 닦는 과정은 생각 보다 더 오래 걸릴지도 모르겠다는 생각도 해본다. (엊그제, 구글 웹마스터도구 '국제 타겟팅' 또한 전세계를 타깃으로 하기 위해 '없음'으로 바꾼 모습이겠다.) 하지만 지금 처럼 꾸준히 '영어 블로그'로써 가능한한 '1일 1포스팅' 또는 일주일에 2 ~ 3 포스팅을 한다면 그 결과는 반드시 좋게 나올 거란 확신은 갖고 있다.
